Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has shared a touching story that highlights the mystery of divine destiny and the wisdom of trusting God’s sovereignty.
Speaking during the August Thanksgiving Service as monitored by Egalitarian Voice Pastor Adeboye recounted the story of twin brothers who ended up on very different paths in life. One became the CEO of a major company, while the other served as his driver.
“Two boys, twins — same womb, same background,” Adeboye said. “Yet one rose to become a top executive, and the other was employed as his driver.”
When asked why he would make his own twin brother his driver, the CEO gave a startling but sincere response: “In this world of uncertainty, the only one I’m sure will not drive me into the hands of killers is my brother.”

Adeboye used this story to illustrate how God’s ways often defy human logic and fairness. “You might wonder, how can twins from the same womb end up so differently?” he asked. “If you want answers, ask God. He is the one who decides destinies.”

Quoting biblical principles, Pastor Adeboye urged the congregation to team up with God, emphasizing that trying to succeed without divine help is futile. “If God calls you a winner, you are a winner. But if He says you’ll lose, no matter what you try, you will still lose,” he warned.
He encouraged listeners to surrender their lives to Christ, saying it is the only sure path to true and lasting success. “If you’ve already surrendered, congratulations. God can still rearrange your life and make you a winner. But if you haven’t, do so now. He alone determines tomorrow.”
