VALENTINE’S CELEBRATION: Oyo Govt Charges Groups, Corporate Bodies, Others on Safety Measures
The Oyo state government has again mandated safety procedures for individuals, groups and corporate bodies holding St. valentine day events.
This was contained in a statement signed by the state commissioner for information & orientation, Prince Dotun Oyelade.
The statement also tasked organisers of St. valentine’s day celebrations to conduct their activities in a safe and responsible manner.
This, according to the statement is in response to anticipated increase in social gatherings during the valentine celebrations.
Prince Oyelade further emphasized the need to involve security agencies and the health sector in the planning and implementation of St. valentine’s day events holding on February 14.

The statement warned that failure to comply with the laid down directives and safety regulations will attract severe consequences under the law.
