Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has issued a stern warning to those fueling the persistent crisis between the communities of Ifon, Ilobu, and Erin in the state, urging them to cease their actions immediately.
Speaking on Monday at the Local Government Service Commission in Osogbo during the inauguration of a 100-man peace committee, Governor Adeleke, represented by his deputy, Kola Adewusi, cautioned against politicizing the conflict and vowed to enforce the law against offenders.
“The administration strongly condemns any attempt to politicize the crisis,” he said. “We specifically warn those hiding under the guise of communal struggles to push political agendas to desist. We will no longer tolerate anyone playing politics with the lives of our people.”
