Oyo gubernatorial hopeful, Hon. Mrs Bolanle Aminat Sarumi A.A (BASA), has extended her heartfelt condolences to Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State over the passing of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde, who sadly passed away on Friday, January 24, 2025.
Hon. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, in her condolence message, described Engineer Sunday Makinde’s demise as a great loss not only to the Makinde family but also to the entire Oyo State.
“I received the news of Engineer Sunday Makinde’s passing with great shock and sadness. My heart goes out to Governor Seyi Makinde and the entire Makinde family during this difficult time,” Hon. Bolanle said.
“Engineer Sunday Makinde was a fine gentleman, a dedicated public servant, and a pillar of support to his family. His contributions to the development of Oyo State will never be forgotten.”
Hon. Bolanle Sarumi-Aliyu, who has been actively involved in Oyo State’s politics, having been appointed as a Senior Special Assistant (Diaspora) by Governor Makinde, urged the governor and his family to take solace in the good life lived by Engineer Sunday Makinde.
“I pray that God will grant Governor Makinde and the entire Makinde family the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. May the soul of Engineer Sunday Makinde rest in perfect peace,” Hon. Bolanle added.
