The Federal Government has announced its commitment to creating one million jobs as part of efforts to address youth unemployment across all 774 local government areas in the country.
Egalitrian Voice reports that Minister of State for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, made the announcement on Friday in Abuja. He emphasized the government’s dedication to educating, inspiring, and connecting Nigerian youth to careers and opportunities in the insurance sector through the use of digital technology.

Olawande reiterated the aim to boost youth participation in the insurance industry, thereby generating jobs and promoting financial inclusion. This announcement follows the Rural Electrification Agency’s declaration that, starting in November, the Federal Government will initiate a new rural electricity project funded by the World Bank, which aims to provide electricity to 17.5 million Nigerians.
