EGALITARIAN VOICE reports that two artisans, Toheeb Yekini,35, and Yekini Sulikaleni ,30, the latter reported to be an ex-convict, both hailing from Iwo, Osun State, have been arrested by Osun State Amotekun corps operatives for their alleged involvement in burglary and theft.
The arrest unfolded in the Oje Oniyan vicinity of Iwo, spurred by a community tip-off alerting the Amotekun personnel to a break-in at a local shop. Acting swiftly upon this information, the operatives managed to apprehend the suspects on-site.

In a statement released on Wednesday by Idowu Yusuf, spokesperson for the Osun Amotekun, it was confirmed that the suspects were intercepted shortly after breaking into the shop and absconding with its contents.
According to the statement, the suspects confessed to committing the crime and pleaded for mercy.

It added that the suspects, a welder and bricklayer have been handed over to the DSS for subsequent interrogation and prosecution.
