Hacking of social media accounts especially Facebook has been rampant lately. Some hack for fraud cases. Whatever the reason is, your Facebook account shouldn’t be hacked or accessed by another person due to its risk.
Follow these tips to set up your unhackable account.
1. ADD EMAIL TO YOUR FACEBOOK ACCOUNT: Adding an email account to your Facebook account is one of the surest ways to safeguard your account from hackers. Facebook will always contact you through your email if someone tries to hack or has already hacked your account.
2. USE A SPECIAL PHONE NUMBER FOR YOUR ACCOUNT: If you cannot use or add email to your Facebook account, then buy and register a special phone number for your social media accounts. Do not give out this number to anyone, no matter what.
3. LIMIT ACCESS TO SOME OF YOUR CONTACTS: If you used a phone number or email, don’t make it visible on Facebook. Limit access to who can contact you on Facebook and who can find your profile based on your email address or phone number.
4. CREATE STRONG PASSWORD: Don’t use your phone number as your password. It’s very easy to guess.

5. Don’t use your name, nickname, or the name of your relations as a password. Create a strong password by mixing words and figures including symbols.
6. Don’t log into another person’s device without logging out after you are done. Don’t ever save your password on such a device when you’re prompted to do so.
7. Remove the email or phone number you no longer have access to from your Facebook account. Do that now if that’s the case.

8. Don’t save your password or pin on your phone and don’t write it in your handy notebook.

9. Don’t connect your phone to an untrusted wifi network. The owner of such a network can have access to your Facebook account.
10. AVOID SPAMS OR UNTRUSTED LINKS: This is a cardinal rule to follow if you want to avoid being hacked. Some links have fake Facebook logins.
