As Muslims across Nigeria and around the world mark the beginning of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1447 A.H., Oyo State governorship hopeful, Hon. Bolanle Aminat Sarumi-Aliyu (BASA), has extended warm greetings and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Oyo State and across the nation.
In her goodwill message, BASA described the Hijrah as a season of deep spiritual reflection, moral renewal, and commitment to values that strengthen both faith and nation-building.
“The Hijrah reminds us of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) journey anchored in faith, resilience, and visionary leadership,” she said. “It is a time for us all, across Nigeria, to recommit to justice, unity, compassion, and peace.”
BASA commended the Muslim community for their enduring contributions to peace, development, and social harmony both in Oyo State and across Nigeria.
“As Hijrah 1447 begins, I pray for renewed hope, divine protection, and lasting prosperity for every Nigerian household. Let us walk forward together in unity, toward a more inclusive and prosperous Nigeria,” she concluded.
