The minister noted that Bala is bent on retaining the position in the North adding that Mohammed appears to have succeeded because of what described as “infantile ambition” of Damagun.
He ascribed the worsening crisis in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to Mohammed’s puerile predilection for lording it over others adding that the Bauchi governor wouldn’t have succeeded if he was a state governor.
“On PDP National Chairmanship issue, it was Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed that said the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum should complete the tenure of Ayu.
Governors Fintiri and Seyi Makinde, as well as the Acting National Chairman, Umar Damagum, National Organizing Secretary and National Secretary were all there.
“Governor Bala was also the one who brought the idea of going to court to ensure that Damagum completes the tenure of Ayu.
Suddenly, he now felt that the Acting National Chairman was not dancing to his tune, he started Damagum must go and that the North Central should produce Ayu’s replacement.”
It is not as if PDP can’t put its act together, but personal ambition is the problem. All they are running after is how to bring Wike down, but this Wike won’t go down.
“Most importantly, those who are claiming leadership should fund the party if they are serious”, Wike stated.
