Happy 64th Independence Day, Nigeria!
As we celebrate this significant day in our nation’s history, my heart is filled with a deep understanding of the pains and struggles we all feel. I know that poverty and hardship weigh heavily on so many of us. As one person, I can only do so much, but together, we can achieve so much more.
On this Independence Day, I ask every Nigerian to take a moment to reflect. We, the people, hold the power. We are the ones who have repeatedly chosen leaders that, instead of lifting us, have often led to greater suffering. We must stop making the same mistakes. The time has come for us to be wiser, to ensure that we no longer fall for the temptations of money politics where votes are bought by leaders with no genuine vision for Nigeria’s future.
We must unite, as a people, to put an end to bad governance. We must spread the message to our families, friends, and neighbors that in the next elections—state by state, vote by vote—we will choose only true leaders, accountable leaders. Only then can we truly make Nigeria great again.
The power is in our hands. Let us use it wisely. Let us create a better future, and a better Nigeria together.
God bless Nigeria.
God bless my beloved Oyo State.
And God bless the great people of Oyo and our nation.
