State Government declares Monday public holiday
Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has announced a public holiday on Monday to celebrate the seventh day of Maulud.
This holiday commemorates the birth of Prophet Muhammad and encourages the Muslim community to reflect on his teachings.

Governor Yusuf highlighted the importance of the Prophet’s life as a guiding example for promoting values such as peace, justice, humility, and compassion.
He urged Muslims to incorporate these principles into their daily lives, viewing them as essential for personal and communal well-being.
In light of the current social and moral challenges, the governor emphasized the need for the community to reconnect with the core tenets of Islam, advocating for a return to the moral character exemplified by the Prophet.
