2027: Political Tsunami Looms as Ex-PDP Scribe Udeh-Okoye Makes Shocking Revelation about APC and PDP

2027: Political Tsunami Looms as Ex-PDP Scribe Udeh-Okoye Makes Shocking Revelation about APC and PDP

A former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Sunday Udeh-Okoye, has made a bold political forecast — declaring that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised for a landslide victory in the 2027 presidential election, even in traditionally PDP-dominated states.

Udeh-Okoye, who recently dumped the PDP for the ruling APC, stated confidently that the APC will capture Enugu State in 2027 — even if Mr. Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, returns to the ballot under another platform.

According to him, Obi’s 2023 victory in Enugu was not necessarily a reflection of unshakable loyalty, but rather a result of APC’s weak structure in the state at the time.

Those who won elections before, when we were not in APC, are now all in the party. No matter who any other party fields, I assure you, the APC will win in Enugu State,” he declared with conviction.

The ex-PDP scribe also dismissed the notion that the Southeast would continue to resist the APC, noting that past voting patterns were influenced by former President Muhammadu Buhari’s perceived neglect of the region.

Udeh-Okoye further boasted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has lost its grip and relevance across Nigeria, noting that the once-dominant opposition has been weakened by internal divisions, lack of vision, and poor leadership coordination. According to him, the PDP no longer commands the trust or energy of the electorate, while the All Progressives Congress (APC) has steadily consolidated its structures nationwide. He maintained that the political momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections clearly favours the ruling party, declaring that “the PDP that once controlled the nation’s political landscape is now a shadow of itself.”

Udeh-Okoye hinted that political realignments are still underway, revealing that another Southeast governor is on the verge of defecting to the APC. When pressed to name which of the two remaining non-APC states in the region might switch allegiance, he declined, saying the development would soon unfold.

His revelation has since sparked intense reactions across political circles, as many see his defection and comments as a reflection of the growing influence of the APC in the Southeast ahead of the 2027 general elections.
