2026 Hajj: NAHCON Issues Important Notice to Intending Pilgrims
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has set key deadlines to ensure smooth coordination of the 2026 Hajj.
In a statement posted on its X account on Friday, the commission fixed October 8, 2025, as the remittance deadline for states and licensed operators to secure their slots and said formal preparations will begin with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Saudi authorities in November 2025.
By January 4, 2026, all camp booking payments must be completed and service contract packages confirmed, followed by a February 1, 2026, deadline to upload transport and accommodation contracts on the Nusuk Masar portal.

NAHCON also stressed that March 20, 2026, is the final date for visa issuance, with no extensions under any circumstances, and urged intending pilgrims, state boards, and private tour operators to strictly adhere to the timetable to avoid disruptions to Hajj operations.
