Yesterday, 13th May, 2024, the Executive Governor of Oyo State has assured the members of Western Nigeria Security Network coded-name AMOTEKUN of better welfare packages and conducive working conditions.
The Governor was represented by the Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters, Hon Olayiwola Segun in Atiba Local Government, Oyo Alaafin, Oyo State.
Hon Olayiwola Segun appreciated the executive governor for giving priority to all the issues relating to the welfare package and service delivery of all the security agencies in the State.
He commended the Executive Chairman of Atiba Local Government for coming up with this project and completed it within the stipulated time and 100% delivery with essential facilities.
In the same vein, he appreciated the Honourable, representing Atiba State Constituency, Hon Oyekola Gbenga Joseph for his unwavering support to the Chairperson, Hon Kafilat Olakojo towards the success of this project.
In his own remarks, Honourable Gbenga Oyekola appreciated the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government for his commitment to most of the projects he gives priority to, which will have a direct impact on the masses. He highlighted the significance of this Amotekun’s office as a strategic location & very timely to combat any crimes within the town and, by extension, to the villages of Atiba Local Government.

Oyekola also described Hon. Kafilat Olakojo as an exemplary politician with full of commitment to any good course she believes in and in that regards, that is why u see me giving her total support in any project that will benefit our people in the Local Government.
The event also witnessed the presentation of Solar Light Panel, Accessories and other security gadgets to Vigilante Outfits to improve their services.
The Oyo Federal Constituency Zonal Commandant of Amotekun Corps, Comrade Fakayode Debo, described Hon Kafilat Olakojo as a proactive politician and a very brave woman. We value this project, and we assure her of judicious use and improved service delivery in the Local Government.
Hon Kafilat Olakojo, the Executive Chairman, Atiba Local Government, expressed her gratitude to the Executive Governor of Oyo State for giving her the opportunity to write her name in gold in the history of Atiba Local Government during his tenure. She further appreciated Honourable Commissioner for Local Government & Chieftaincy Matters, Hon Olayiwola Segun for his dedication, support, and presence at today’s commissioning of Amotekun Building that come to a reality despite so much challenges. On a final note, she extended her appreciation to Hon Gbenga Oyekola for his patriotism and commitment towards the success of this project. She also expresses her gratitude to the political functionaries, Leadership & Excos of the Party, Atiba Local Government Management Staff, Oyomesi & Traditional Chiefs are not left out in this expression of gratitude.
